Aviation Program Manager

Job Summary

Avcon Industries is searching for a qualified program leader to help deliver quality products on time to our customers. The ideal candidate will have aviation experience and strong skills in developing and overseeing work plans. The Aviation Program Manager will partner with Business Development to prepare and present regular updates to end customers, both domestic and international, as well as to internal management, ensuring that project goals are consistently met.

The Aviation Program Manager will oversee the successful implementation and completion of aircraft modification projects, managing defined statements of work and schedules, monitoring program progress, and leading cross-functional teams throughout the entire program life cycle.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Business Development to serve as the primary voice to the customer through execution and delivery of product.
  • Develop program plans and identify the resources needed to execute within program budget.
  • Manage deliverables in line with agreed-upon timelines and scope.
  • Monitor, track, and report on program progress and deliverables.
  • Manage and monitor costs in line with budget.
  • Provide leadership and direction to program teams as required.
  • Lead program reviews and customer update meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience leading aviation programs, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
